ARRIVING AT

Freelance, Spring 2024

THE TASK

In June, Eric Judson, a former classmate of mine produced a staged reading of a new play by Ike Butler, Arriving At. Eric asked me to design a social graphic promoting the show. The story begins with the last train of the night mysteriously stopping in the middle of a dark tunnel.

Green Shirt Studio

"What happens if a subway car that you're riding with strangers . . . at 1:00 in the morning . . . stops? Would you talk to the other strangers? Grow close? Reveal things you don't normally mention in public? Arriving At is a humorous look at connecting with people you never expected to connect with."

THE GOAL

Visually balance tension and playfulness, honoring the drama and comedy within the play.

THE RESULT

A sold out show! The event was a huge success, and I was excited to have helped usher new art into the world. On a personal note, I was thrilled to work with a dear friend on this project– it's hard to believe that we were once just freshmen at the same activities fair!
